Temperature & cold-chain monitoring

Connect measurements, historical records and duration-based alarms.

The need and approach

One cold-room sensor may not represent every stored product. Placement considers doors, air circulation, storage zones and the conditions relevant to the product.

Data flow

Positioned sensor → acquisition device → timestamped history → duration/threshold rule → notification.

Measurement validity and communication status are retained with readings. Calibration, maintenance and sensor replacement provide essential context. Short fluctuations, sustained excursions and data gaps are assessed separately.

Illustrative workflow

Different cold-room zones are monitored separately. Door events, when available, are compared with trends without automatically asserting a definite cause.

Questions for discovery

  • Which products and areas need monitoring?
  • How will sensor placement be verified?
  • Who owns thresholds and delays?
  • What records and reports are needed?
  • How long must power or network outages be covered?

Limits and field conditions

This system does not automatically confer regulatory compliance or certification. Ambient temperature and product temperature are not the same measurement.

Common questions

Can existing equipment be used?

Suitability depends on the device interface, manufacturer documentation, access permission and a field test. Start by sharing model details and the signals that are available.
